2015 NISSAN MURANO- Citronelle , AL
Beginning 4/2025 undercarriage parts of the splash guard began breaking loose and flying off my vehicle while driving. 6/2025 the passenger wheel surround flew off while driving 60 MPH over a bridge, thank God there was no oncoming traffic. It caused damage to my tires however that I replaced. Over the last year more parts, including the drivers side wheel surround have come off while driving. I was able to go back to the roadside and pick up a piece that is roughly 26x26x7”. When I called EasternShore Nissan when this first happened I was told it is just a splash guard and no need for concerns. It doesn’t affect the drive ability of the vehicle. Now even the front bumper of my vehicle is loose and I fear it will fly off and the projectile will kill somebody. I’m very concerned for the many serious safety issues involved. I just spoke to Nissan whose first response is that my vehicle isn’t under warranty, which is an economic concern. My point is I did not purchase a Lego vehicle. Parts should not be flying off. I have nightmares from the last piece of wheel surround flying off 8/22/26 and praying that I wouldn’t wreck with my 11 year old in the car, that the cars behind me wouldn’t get hit, wouldn’t wreck trying to avoid it, and I wouldn’t have to buy another $500 worth of tires. I went back and was able to get one of the parts and a couple of days later got a photo of a long part on someone’s property. This needs investigation. It can’t be normal for a vehicle to fly apart. I live very rurally and honestly never considered contacting Nissan again after being told it wasn’t a concern. I went to a mechanic about repairs and he suggested I file a report first while he gets info on parts.

2013 NISSAN MURANO- HEATHSVILLE, VA
I am the second owner of a 2013 Nissan Murano, purchased from my friend's estate in 2026. Recently, the drivers seat belt was found to be shredding in two places. I did a search for open recalls on seal belt fabrics but there are none. I do not know what to do about it. I have placed thin shipping tape over the rips and tears. It appears that something in the roll up mechanism is tearing the seat belt. Please help me. Thank you.

2023 NISSAN LEAF- Van Nuys, CA
My Nissan Leaf entered turtle mode on the freeways 8 times over the course of about a week and a half. This causes the car to slow itself down, and severely limit acceleration. The first time was on August 16th, 2026. This is incredibly dangerous, especially on the interstate. No one expects a car to be going 35mph on I-10, or any highway, therefore, this could have easily caused a severe rear end accident. I took it to Nissan of Mission Hills in Los Angeles for inspection after the first 4 times, they claimed that they couldn’t touch it without permission from corporate, and the next day said everything is fine. Due to severe safety concerns, I didn’t want to be driving it any longer and had to give it up for bank repossession. I have attached the photo of the slip from the dealer that did not fix the issue and a photo of the warning light.

2024 NISSAN ROGUE- grants, NM
We had bought this vehicle from the dealership in March 2026, it had seemed like they were trying to get rid of it. Within under a month of purchase, it flashed a malfunction error and broke down. Sent to dealership, they had fixed the relay. Problem has since worsened. Car runs extremely rough and I get two malfunction errors. During long periods of driving with extensive starting and stopping, I notice issues such as a delay when shifting from park to drive. Im currently studying Automotive Technology where I got to diagnose the car. It is showing 11 codes. [XXX], [XXX], [XXX], [XXX], [XXX], [XXX], [XXX]. 2024 NISSAN ROGUE- Chittenango, NY
Engine / Fuel/Smog/Emissions System (EGR Cooler) Description of the Safety Hazard - My 2024 Nissan Rogue experienced a sudden and catastrophic failure of the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) cooler assembly. The internal core of the EGR cooler cracked, causing engine coolant to leak and completely drain. This defect caused severe engine overheating, a sudden and dangerous loss of motive power while driving the vehicle went into limp mode, and experience engine stalling. The sudden loss of engine power/stalling on the highway created an immediate, high-risk collision hazard. Furthermore, coolant leaking into hot engine components presents a critical thermal/fire risk. The vehicle is currently grounded and entirely undrivable at an authorized Nissan dealership. The dealership confirmed that the vehicle cannot be safely operated. However, Nissan cannot provide a repair timeline because the replacement EGR cooler (OEM Part 14735-6RC0B) is on an indefinite national backorder due to widespread, systemic manufacturing defects across this engine line. Hundreds of other drivers are experiencing this exact same dangerous failure, and a formal safety recall is urgently needed before it causes a fatal accident.

2022 NISSAN ROGUE- Des Moines, IA
My 2022 Nissan Rogue 1.5L VC-Turbo is experiencing repeated limp-mode/reduced-power events, severe hesitation, poor acceleration, rough/shaking idle, and recurring DTC U0652 after Nissan marked recall 25V-437 complete. The vehicle is available for inspection. Reduced-power symptoms were documented as early as Dec. 2024 and significantly worsened by Oct. 3, 2025 at approximately 100,400 miles, including loss of power at highway speed. I previously reported this condition to NHTSA under Complaint #11696068. The first Nissan dealer (Willis) used a borescope, claimed “sludge,” recommended engine replacement, refused to provide supporting photos/evidence, and did not remove the oil pan. Willis later provided me an oil sample, which I submitted for independent analysis. That analysis showed multiple bearing-associated wear metals without an abnormal viscosity condition explaining the findings, and confirmed the oil pan was had not been checked. A second Nissan dealer was contacted to performed Nissan’s recall screening/software procedure. No engine light could be on upon arrival. Because the intermittent condition did not occur during the brief test, Nissan marked the recall complete. The warning light is now illuminated again and the vehicle is again entering limp mode/reduced power. I contacted Nissan for assistance and was told they would not provide towing or further recall assistance because the recall is listed as complete. I am currently stranded with the same safety condition after Nissan declared the vehicle remedied. My complaint is failed recall remedy/recall effectiveness. Nissan’s screening process classified this vehicle as remedied, but the safety condition continues and appears progressive. Nissan is now using its own “recall complete” status to refuse further action despite recurring loss of power and independent evidence of internal engine wear.
