Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L, 2022-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE vehicles. The rear coil springs may be incorrectly installed and detach from the vehicle while driving.

The recall was influenced by the manufacturer with about 328,381 units affected.

Description:: Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L, 2022-2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE vehicles. The rear coil springs may be incorrectly installed and detach from the vehicle while driving.
Consequeces:: Rear coil springs that detach from the vehicle while driving increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective action:: Dealers will replace the rear coil spring lower isolators, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed September 29, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 89D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov on September 9, 2026. This recall replaces NHTSA recall numbers 26V051 and 23V413. Vehicles already repaired under the previous recalls will need to have the new remedy completed.

2023 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE L Complaints
2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit unexpectedly applied the brakes while traveling approximately 78 mph with Adaptive Cruise Control engaged. There was no vehicle, object, or obstruction directly ahead. The forward collision/ACC warning activated immediately before the vehicle braked. At approximately the same time, the driver had touched the power lumbar button to disengage the lumbar. The lumbar had independently activated approximately 15–20 minutes earlier. Not sure if the 2 are related or if the is just coincidental?;

GoodYear 265/60R18, Morning NHTSA, i had these 4 tires inspected by good year, the 4xe trailhawk has 28,000 miles but the tires are very low because of the wait of the phev it slides it very harder to stop because the traction is so bad, sometimes i feel like i have a pickup truck with no because it slips so much is can be a little sand or not level road. To me its very un safe because these are not EV tires, these tires should be on the conventional suv what there are really made for, at low speed its bad.;
