I have a 59 62 series sedan and I was wondering how I can tell if I have a bad pitman arm such as identifying number or other ways of I.D. to determine if mine could be defective. Looking at the pitman arm it appears normal when visually looking it over. Do you have any ideas that might help me determine if my pitman should be replaced?

Do you drive a 1959 CADILLAC CADILLAC?

Just because a car has been recalled does not mean it is not a reliable car. Millions of cars get recalled every year. Recalls often involve problems that are rare but could cause a serious problem if they occur. So the risk to any given driver is often remote, even though there may be a few high-profile incidents traced to the problem.
