I have the exact same problem with the loss of power steering that GM has recalled only certain vehicles made at a certain time at a certain plant. GM says that my car was not made at that time so TOO BAD pay $1,000. to have it fixed. DO NOT buy GM

08 Malibu's are dangerous. As far as I can tell from researching other owners, the power steering problems definitely outweigh the positives of this vehicle. Do NOT buy this vehicle!

Do you drive a 2008 CHEVROLET MALIBU?

Just because a car has been recalled does not mean it is not a reliable car. Millions of cars get recalled every year. Recalls often involve problems that are rare but could cause a serious problem if they occur. So the risk to any given driver is often remote, even though there may be a few high-profile incidents traced to the problem.
