Description VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: STREETCARS AND TRANSIT COACHES . THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE CAN RUB AGAINST THE ELECTRICAL JUNCTION BOX POWER STUD ALLOWING BATTERY CURRENT TO FLOW DIRECTLY TO GROUND.
Consequences ELECTRICAL ARCING CAN IGNITE COMBUSTIBLE MATERIALS IN THE JUNCTION BOX, INCREASING THE RISK OF PROPERTY DAMAGE AND PERSONAL INJURY.
Corrective action DEALERS WILL SECURE THE CABLE AWAY FROM THE JUNCTION BOX POWER STUD WITH A CLAMP THAT IS SECURED TO THE FLOOR BY A SCREW AND WASHER; AND THE JUNCTION BOX POWER STUD WILL BE INSULATED WITH A RUBBER BOOT.
