TIRES

9/14/2005 - BRADFORD, PA
WE WERE DRIVING DOWN THE STREET IN PORT ALLEGHENY, PA ABOUT 25 MILES PER HOUR, WHEN OUR REAR FIRESTONE TIRE BLEW OUT. OUR VEHICLE HAD JUST OVER 6,000 MILES ON IT. THERE DID NOT APPEAR TO BE ANYTHING IN THE STREET TO CAUSE THE PROBLEM. I CONTACTED GMAC AND FIRESTONE, BUT NEITHER SUGGESTED ANY RECALL OF OUR TIRES. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY ISSUE AND FUTURE BLOWOUTS AT HIGHER SPEEDS. SINCE FIRESTONE REFUSED TO COMPLY WITH THE STATED WARRANTY, I PURCHASED A COMPETITOR'S BRAND AT A SLIGHTLY HIGHER PRICE.
