SERVICE BRAKES

1/25/2018 - PORT CHARLOTTE, FL
BOUGHT THE CAR NEW, ON DAY 2 AT AROUND 80 MIIES, THE FRONT BRAKE WARPED THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT ROTOR ,CAR COULD BARELY STOP.TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD IT WAS A FAULTY ROTOR, DEALER REPLACED AT NO CHARGE, APPROX 3 MONTHS LATER THE SAME THING HAPPENED, THE DEALER REPLACED BOTH FRONT ROTORS AND SAID THAT CHRYSLER HAD A BUNCH OF FAULTY ROTORS. TRIED TO AVOID DRIVING THE CAR ANYWHERE THAT HAD ANY LARGE HILLS OR MOUNTAINS. MOVED TO FLORIDA SHORTLY AFTER THE LAST REPAIR AND THOUGHT THE DEALER HAD ACTUALLY FIXED THE PROBLEM, BUT IN 2016 I WENT BACK TO PA. FOR A VACATION AND THE FIRST TIME I DROVE IN THE MOUNTAINS, I HAD THE SAME BRAKE PROBLEM, I HAD TO AVOID THE MOUNTAINS. GOT HOME, I REPLACED EVERYTHING IN THE FRONT BRAKES BUT THE MASTER CYLINDER AND ABS SYSTEM., THOUGHT THIS TIME IT HAD TO BE FIXED. THEN IN THE FALL OF 2017 WE HAD TO EVACUATE THE STATE OF FLORIDA DUE TO A HURRICANE AND WE WENT TO NORTH CAROLINA TO STAY FOR 5 DAYS. THE FIRST BIG HILL WE ENCOUNTERED ON THE FREEWAY THE SAME PROBLEM HAPPENED, THE FRONT OF THE CAR VIBRATED BADLY AND THE BRAKES COULDN'T HOLD THE CAR BACK. STILL NOT WORKING PROPERLY VERY WORRIED ABOUT THE BRAKES AND STILL HAVE TO AVOID MOUNTAINOUS AREAS. WAS QUOTED A PRICE OF APPROX. $750-$800 TO FIX. HAVE ALREADY SPENT $350 TO FIX IT.

THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HEATER DID NOT WORK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HAASZ AUTOMALL OF RAVENNA (4886 OH-59, RAVENNA, OH 44266) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEATER CORE AND THE RADIATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED TO PAY A DEDUCTIBLE BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WAS NOT PURCHASED AT THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. THE MANUFACTURE WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE DEDUCTIBLE NEEDED TO BE PAID. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 54,500.

THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HEATER DID NOT WORK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE CONTACT REALIZED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE BECAME COLD. WHILE THE DEFROSTER WAS ACTIVATED, THE CONTACT REALIZED THAT ONLY THE DRIVER'S SIDE WAS DEFROSTING AND NOT THE PASSENGER SIDE. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, THE PASSENGER SIDE BEGAN TO DEFROST. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION, THE PASSENGER SIDE BECAME COLD. THE DEALER (EAST GATE CHRYSLER, 500 N SHADELAND AVE, INDIANAPOLIS, IN) DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEATER CORE FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THERE WERE NO RECALLS ASSOCIATED WITH THE VIN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE KERNERSVILLE CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM DEALER (950 NC-66, KERNERSVILLE, NC) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEATER CORE FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED AT APPROXIMATELY 72,000 MILES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 19,000.

THE PASSENGER SIDE HEAT IS NOT WORKING, THIS APPEARS TO BE A VERY COMMON ISSUE WITH THIS MAKE AND MODEL. THE ISSUE GET WORST OVERTIME AS IT IS NOW AFFECTING MY ABILITY TO PROPERLY DEFROST MY PADSANGER SIDE WINDSHIELD AS WELL AS THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW WHICH IS CAUSING A SAFETY CONCERN DUE LIMITING MY VISIBILITY . THIS IS DRIVING HAZARD TO ME AND OTHER DRIVERS DURING THE WINTER.

WHEN THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE, THE HEATER ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE FAILED TO FUNCTION AND PREVENTED THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW FROM DEFROSTING. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 47,000.

THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHRYSLER 200. UPON STARTING AND DRIVING THE VEHICLE FOR A WHILE, THE HEATER VENTILATION WOULD CIRCULATE HOT AIR ON THE DRIVER SIDE AND COLD AIR ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. DUE TO THE FAILURE, THE DEFOGGER ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE WAS NOT OPERATIONAL AND PREVENTED THE CONTACT FROM SEEING OUT THE WINDSHIELD. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC OR DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 80,000.

VEHICLE SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING. THIS HAPPENED 3 TIMES IN LESS THAN 3 YEARS. DRIVING VEHICLE AND INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS UP AND VEHICLE SHUTS DOWN. 1ST TIME - JULY 2015, THIS HAPPENED COMING INTO A ROUNDABOUT - LOST ALL POWER INCLUDING STEERING AND BRAKES. WAS LUCKY ENOUGH THAT NO OTHER VEHICLES WERE AROUND. DEALER REPLACED TIPM. SAME THING HAPPENED LESS THAN 1 YEAR LATER (APRIL 2016). IN A PARKING LOT AND VEHICLE JUST SHUT OFF. DEALER REPLACED TIPM AGAIN STATING PART FAILURE - UNDER WARRANTY SINCE WAS LESS THAN 1 YEAR SINCE REPLACEMENT. NOW LESS THAN 2 YEARS LATER ON 12/26/17 VEHICLE SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING 70MPH ON THE HIGHWAY! WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO BE ON 2 LANE HIGHWAY INSTEAD OF 4 AND ABLE TO GET TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. TOOK TO DEALER THAT PURCHASED FROM (HAPPENED CLOSER TO THAT DEALER THAN THE ONE THAT PREVIOUSLY HAD FIXED). EXPLAINED SITUATION, THAT PART WAS REPLACED BEFORE SAME THING HAPPENING. THEY SAID NOTHING WRONG, COULDNT FIND ANYTHING AND SENT ME ON MY WAY - DROVE BACK ROADS BECAUSE I WAS AFRAID TO DRIVE. NOT EVEN 30 MILES LATER AND SAME THING HAPPENED. SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING. ABLE TO RESTART VEHICLE EVERY TIME. TOOK TO DEALER THAT HAD FIXED IN THE PAST. TIPM FAILURE AGAIN! THIS IS 3 TIMES THAT THE PART HAS FAILED. COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AGAIN - THEY SAID PART WARRANTY HAD BEEN EXTENDED FROM 1 TO 2 YEARS. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM AND DEFINATELY A SAFETY HAZARD!! I GOT THE CAR FIXED AND TRADED IT IN THE DAY I GOT IT BACK! 3RD FAILURE WAS AT 113K MILES. CAR PURCHASED BRAND NEW IN 2012.
