I have had to replace the LCM because the lights would work then stop working. The brake lights stopped working but the center light kept working. I traced it to a short between the MFS and BOO. It was a green wirer I had the same problem with another CVPI. I also had 2 rims crack at the weld. Replaced all 5 steel rims with aluminum factory take offs. The car has been a very reliable car. All of the problem happened past the 130000 mile mark. The car has had the normal things wear out such as starter and what not. I have driven this car in an abusive manner for most of its life.

Do you drive a 2003 FORD CROWN VICTORIA?

Just because a car has been recalled does not mean it is not a reliable car. Millions of cars get recalled every year. Recalls often involve problems that are rare but could cause a serious problem if they occur. So the risk to any given driver is often remote, even though there may be a few high-profile incidents traced to the problem.
