DRIVER SIDE ELECTRICAL SEAT BROKE. SEAT FRAME WELDING WOULD COME APART WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING, NO CRACKING OR NOISE. DEALER HAS CALLED THIS A "COMMON PROBLEM" BUT WILL NOT COVER UNDER WARRANTY.

A RUPTURED BRAKE LINE CAUSED LEAKAGES. DEALER/MANUFACTURER NOTIFIED. REPAIRS WERE MADE BY THE DEALER. BRAKE LINE HAD RUSTED THROUGH AND THE FLUID WAS RUNNING OUT.

RIGHT REAR BRAKE FELL APART FOR NO APPARENT REASON. THE SERVICE MANAGER SAID HE HAS SEEN IT HAPPEN BEFORE LIKE WHEN WATER OR A ROCK GETS INTO THE BRAKE. RIGHT NOW IT'S LEAKING GAS DUE TO A FAULTY SERVICE REPAIR AND THE HAS "REFUSED" TO FIX IT AND GM SAYS WE HAVE TO PAY ANOTHER DEALER TO FIX IT CORRECTLY.

ENGINE CHECK LIGHT COMES ON AND OFF. UPON ACCELERATION OR GOING UP A GRADE VEHICLE WILL SPUTTER AND LOSE POWER WHICH ALMOST RESULTED IN AN ACCIDENT. CONSUMER HAS CONTINUOUSLY TAKEN VEHICLE TO DEALER , BUT DEALER COULD NOT DETERMINE CAUSE. IN MEANTIME CONSUMER WAS DRIVING AN UNSAFE VEHICLE.PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION.

SEATS: FRONT ASSEMBLY: POWER ADJUST

2/16/2001 - FULLERTON, CA
THE METAL SEAT FRAME HAS FAILED AT THE LEFT FRONT CORNER AND SEPARATED FROM THE POWER SEAT TRACK. INITIALLY THE SEAT APPEARED TO BE SLIGHTLY LOOSE, BUT THE INSTABILITY OF THE SEAT HAS INCREASED. NOT ONLY IS IT UNCOMFORTABLE TO DRIVE, BUT I AM CONCERNED THAT THE IF I WERE INVOLVED IN A CRASH, THE SEAT FRAME WOULD FAIL AT OTHER POINTS AND POSSIBLY CAUSE INJURY. I AM THE PRIMARY DRIVER OF THIS VEHICLE AND AM 6'1" AND WEIGH 185 LBS. MY WIFE OCCASIONALLY DRIVES THE VEHICLE BUT SHE WEIGHS LESS THAN I DO. THE VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT AND I CANNOT ENVISION WHY THE METAL SEAT FRAME WOULD FAIL ABSENT A DEFECT.
