I DRIVE A JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE WITH 68,000 MILES AND JUST HAD THE BRAKES FIXED AGAIN FOR THE 6TH TIME. MY DEALER KEEPS TELLING ME THE PARTS ARE INFERIOR AND I CAN EXPECT TO REPLACE THE BRAKES AFTER 6-7000 MILES. I FEEL THIS IS EXCESSIVE AND JEEP SHOULD BE ABLE TO DEVELOPE A MATERIAL THAT WILL HELP THE BRAKES LAST LONGER. OTHER MAKES OF CARS NEVER HAVE THE PROBLEM THAT JEEP DOES. I ALSO FEEL THIS COULD BE VERY DANGEROUS SINCE NOT EVERY ONE CAN AFFORD TO REPLACE THE BRAKES EVERY 7,000 MILES. I CAN SEE BY THE INTERNET THAT THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS, CAN'T YOU DO SOMETHING BEFORE THIS IS A FIRE, PROPERTY DAMAGE OR CRASH?

VEHICLE ROTORS ARE WARPING FOR THE SECOND TIME SINCE I'VE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE NEW. IT CURRENTLY HAS 74,000 MILES ON IT. THIS IS THE FIRST OF 9 VEHICLES I'VE OWNED AND DRIVEN THAT THIS HAS EVER OCCURRED ON. AT SPEEDS AROUND 35-40 MPH WHEN THE BRAKES ARE APPLIED MODERATELY THE VEHICLE SHAKES AND SHIMMIES AND IT FEELS LIKE THE BRAKES ARE NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE.

AT SPEEDS ABOVE 50 MPH, WHEN THE BRAKES ARE APPLIED, THE STEERING STARTS TO SHAKE VIOLENTLY AND THE BRAKES ARE SLOW TO WORK. I REPORTED THIS PROBLEM TO THE DEALER. THEY LOOK AT THE PROBLEM AND FOUND THAT THE FRONT AND REAR BRAKES (ROTORS) WERE WARPED. THEY TRIED TO GRIND THE ORIGINAL ONES. THAT DID NOT HELP THE PROBLEM AT ALL. NOW THEY ARE GOING TO TRY AND REPLACE THE FRONT AND REAR ROTORS. I HOPE THIS WORKS. I PAID ALMOST $30,000 FOR THIS VEHICLE AND I FEEL RIPPED OFF. NOT TO MENTION ALL THE TIME I HAVE TO TAKE OFF WORK TO GO TO THE DEALER TO FIX THESE PROBLMES.
