BOTH PASSENGER SIDE FRONT AND DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT SEATBELTS ARE TOREN OVER 3/4 THREW THE BELTTHAT CROSSES CHEST APPROXIMATELY AT BREAST HEIGHT( HALF WAY UP FROM BUCKLE) ALSO PRIOR SIGNS OF OTHER REPAIRS TO SEATBELT STRAPS. I PURCHASED IT THIS WAY, SO UNKNOWN CAUSE.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING: TURN SIGNAL: SWITCH

1/2/2018 - HOUSTON, TX
THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 CHEVROLET BLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE MADE AN ABNORMAL CLICKING SOUND EVEN WHEN THE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH WAS NOT ACTIVATED. UPON INSPECTION, THE TURN SIGNAL INDICATORS DID NOT ILLUMINATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FLASHERS WERE DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 01V364000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING). THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. ALTHOUGH THE MANUFACTURER ACKNOWLEDGED THE RECALL, THEY STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 167,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER'S SEAT BELT WOULD NOT RETRACT WHEN PROMPTED AND BECAME UNDONE ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 CHEVROLET BLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING, ANOTHER DRIVER INFORMED THAT THE REAR BRAKE LIGHTS FAILED TO OPERATE. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, AN ABNORMAL SOUND AND SMOKE EMITTED FROM THE SAFETY HAZARD SWITCH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS BEING DIAGNOSED BUT HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY SERVICED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 01V364000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 141,000.
