12/8/2014 - WEST CHESTERFILED, NH
THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TPMS WARNING LIGHT WAS CONTINUOUSLY ILLUMINATED ALTHOUGH THE VEHICLE WAS NOT EQUIPPED WITH THE TPMS MONITORING SYSTEM. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL

12/6/2014 - TOWNSEND, MT
THE VEHICLE OPERATED FOR 60 MILES ON THE HIGHWAY PRIOR TO THE COLLISION. ROAD CONDITIONS WERE SNOW PACKED, AND THE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE WAS -1 DEGREE FERHENHEIT. THE VEHICLE WAS PREPARING TO STOP AT AN INTERSECTION. THE DRIVER WAS IN THE ACT OF BRAKING AND SLOWED TO ABOUT 1-2 MPH. SUDDENLY, THE VEHICLE BEGAN ACCELERATING WITHOUT CONTROL INTO THE INTERSECTION. THE DRIVER SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES WHILE THE WHEELS SPUNOUT ON THE ROAD. ANOTHER VEHICLE COLLIDED WITH THE DODGE DURANGO AT ABOUT 45 MPH DAMAGING THE LEFT SIDE AND INJURING THE LEFT REAR PASSENGER AND THE RIGHT REAR PASSENGER. THE ACCELORATOR STOPPED WITH THE COLLISION ALTHOUGH THE VEHICLE ENGINE WAS STILL RUNNING.

AS I WAS REFUELING I NOTICED IN THE PUMP THAT IT WAS AT 29 GALLONS BUT IT WAS STILL FILLING UP AND MY TANK WASN'T EMPTY SO RIGHT AWAY I KNEW SOMETHING WAS WRONG AND LOOKED ON THE BOTTOM THAT IT WAS SPILLING ALL THE GAS I'M THINKING FROM THE INSIDE OF THE FILLER NECK OR HOSE BUT FROM UNDER THE CAR SO SOMETHING IS WRONG BECAUSE IT DIDN'T STOP FILLING UP, THX

APPROXIMATELY DURING SUMMER OF 2013, UPON STARTING ENGINE, THE IGNITION WOULD "STICK" WHEN KEY WAS TURNED FORWARD. DURANGO WOULD HAVE TO BE TURNED OFF AND KEY TAKEN OUT OF IGNITION SWITCH TO TRY IT AGAIN. THEN, UPON SHIFTING INTO REVERSE AND BACKING UP, THE VEHICLE WOULD COME TO AN ABRUPT HALT AND BE IMMOVABLE FOR A TIME, USUALLY UNTIL PUTTING INTO PARK AND RE-STARTING VEHICLE. THIS IS WHEN THE MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT CAME ON. WE HAD TO HAVE VEHICLE TOWED AT WHICH TIME THE WHEELS WERE LOCKED IN PLACE, CAUSING BLACK SKID MARKS FROM ITS POINT OF TOW TO TOW TRUCK. THE AUTO SHOP REPLACED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WHICH WAS "STUCK OR LOCKED IN POSITION". MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT WENT OFF TEMPORARILY. IT CAME BACK ON AGAIN IN AUGUST, 2014. TOOK TO AUTO SHOP TO DIAGNOSE. AFTER 677.74 DOLLARS IN REPAIRS, LIGHT STILL REMAINS ON.

THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATE THAT AFTER REFUELING, THE FUEL WOULD SPEW BACK OUT WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE TANK FILLER HAD MALFUNCTIONED AND THE FUEL TANK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED.
