ELECTRICAL SYSTEM | 11/4/2015 - MARION, SC MY DAUGHTER BROUGHT ME THIS CAR FOR MY BIRTHDAY 2007. I HAVE BEEN COMPLAINING SINCE 2007 ABOUT THE IGNITION. I WAS TOLD IT WAS THE KEY. I PURCHASE A NEW KEY, WELL THE KEY IS NOT THE PROBLEM. I HAVE BEEN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET AND THE CAR WOULD JUST SHOUT OFF. I KEEP REPLACING BATTERIES AFTER BATTERIES. I FINALLY FOUND OUT IT IS THE IGNITION, THE WAY I FOUND OUT IS A CERTAIN WAY I HAD TO TURN THE KEY FOR THE CAR TO START. I REALLY LEARN TO LOVE MY CAR BUT I HAVE SO MANY ISSUES I DON'T KNOW WHETHER I WOULD ADVISE ANYMORE TO PURCHASE ONE. I HAVE HAD MANY ISSUES UNTIL I BECAME VERY DISSATISFIED WITH THE COMPANY. I WOULD APPRECIATE IF YOU TAKE A LOOK AT THIS PROBLEM. THANKS THE CAR WOULD JUST CUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET. UNEXPLAINABLE.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING | 11/2/2015 - LYNDEN, WA THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE HEADLIGHTS AND INSTRUMENT PANEL FAILED TO ILLUMINATE INTERMITTENTLY. ON A SEPARATE OCCASION, THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, BUT THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CAR IS UNDER AN EXTENDED MANUFACTURER+S BUMPER-TO-BUMPER WARRANTY SO THE REPAIR SHOULD BE COVERED AS IT IS A CLEAR DEFECT. APPARENTLY, BECAUSE THE CAR JUST STOPPED, NO CODES WERE RECORDED AS TO THE NATURE OF THE PROBLEM. HENCE, THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO IDENTIFY A PROBLEM. THE DEALER RECOMMENDED THAT THE COST OF A SUSPECTED REPAIR BE MADE BY THE OWNER BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT DEFINITELY DEFINE THE PROBLEM AS NECESSARY TO BE REIMBURSED UNDER THE WARRANTY. ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL | 10/6/2015 - GULFPORT, MS I PULLED INTO A GAS STATION FOR FUEL AND UPON APPLYING BRAKES, FELT A SLIGHT SHUDDER. AFTER TURNING OFF THE ENGINE AND FUELING UP, I STARTED THE CAR AND PUT IT IN DRIVE AND IT IMMEDIATELY SHUT THE ENGINE OFF. I TRIED A SECOND TIME, SAME RESULT. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE IN REVERSE TO A PARKING SPOT, AND CONTINUED TRYING TO DRIVE FORWARD, THE ENGINE WOULD SHUT DOWN EACH TIME. I NOTICED THE ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL LIGHT ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WAS ON. NOT KNOWING WHAT IT MEANT, EVENTUALLY CALLED A TOW SERVICE FOR HELP. FORTUNATELY, HOME WAS ONLY 45 MINUTES AWAY. THIS IS THE SAME CAR THAT WE HAVE REPORTED TO THIS SITE FOR PROBLEMS WITH THE FUEL SYSTEM, THAT IS, FUEL GAUGE NOT WORKING PROPERLY AND ALSO GREAT DIFFICULTY IN FILLING THE FUEL TANK!!!

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FRONT ENGINE MOUNTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE REAR ENGINE MOUNTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO SHIFT INTO THE REVERSE POSITION AND STALLED INTERMITTENTLY WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES.
