I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK USED FROM A CHEVY DEALER. IT STEERS BADLY. CONSTANT NEED TO OVER CORRECT. HIGH TURNING RESISTANCE AT ANY SPEED. THE DEALERS MECHANIC DROVE IT AND SAID NOTHING WRONG. NOT ABLE TO GREASE BALL JOINTS. SOMETHING DRAGGY OR LOW PUMP PRESSURE, ETC. THIS TRUCK IS TIRING TO DRIVE AND NOT SAFE. THANKS..ARNIE

THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE ENGINE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE RESTARTED AFTER NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE FUEL SYSTEM CONTROL MODULE WAS REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS ALSO TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO REPROGRAMMED THE PCM SOFTWARE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 104,000.

WAS JUST LEAVING FUNERAL AND STARTED VEHICLE THEN SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL, SERVICE STABILITRAK, TRACTION CONTROL OFF, STABILITRAK OFF, LOSS OF CONTROL NOTICED DISPLAYED. TRIED TO DRIVE BUT EXPERIENCED BUCKING AND DRASTIC POWER LOSS. TOOK TO DEALER WHO SAID FAILURE WAS DUE TO FAULTY THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR - A PROBLEM HE INDICATED WAS RECURRING FOR THAT VEHICLE. LUCKILY HE SERVICED UNDER VEHICLE WARRANTY. BUT DISAPPOINTING TO SEE AT LESS THAN 40,000 MILES.

THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE FRONT DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER'S SIDE CURTAIN AIR BAGS INADVERTENTLY DEPLOYED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT BOTH AIR BAG SENSORS CORRODED WHICH CONTRIBUTED TO THE UNEXPECTED DEPLOYMENT. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,300.

4/22/2014 - CHEEKTOWAGA, NY
VEHICLE WAS PARKED FOR THE DAY WHILE I WORKED. ENTERED AND STARTED VEHICLE, THE VEHICLE MESSAGE CENTER INDICATED "SERVICE AIRBAGS" MESSAGE. THE MESSAGE WOULD COME AND GO WHICH MADE IT DIFFICULT FOR THE DEALER TO DETERMINE THE PROBLEM. IN NOVEMBER OF 2013 THE SERVICE AIRBAG MESSAGE STAYED ON, TOOK VEHICLE IN AND HAD THE FRONT PASSANGER SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR REPLACED. THIS RESOLVED THE PROBLEM. ONE MONTH LATER (DECEMBER 2013) THE SAME THING HAPPENED AND IT TURNED OUT TO BE THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR. HAD THE SENSOR REPLACED, RESOLVED THE PROBLEM.

THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, A LOUD METAL TO METAL DRAGGING NOISE WAS HEARD FROM OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT MANEUVERED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND NOTICED THAT THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE LEAF SPRING WAS FRACTURED AND REMAINED CONNECTED TO THE ASSEMBLY. THE SHARP EDGE OF THE LEAF SPRING CAUSED NUMEROUS CUTS TO THE TIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, WHO REPAIRED THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.

THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE ATTEMPTING TO RELEASE THE SPARE TIRE FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE IT FAILED TO RELEASE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE WIRE CONNECTED TO THE SPARE TIRE WAS TAMPERED WITH AND AS A RESULT CAUSED THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE SENSOR TO MALFUNCTION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 30,000.

2009 CHEVY SILVERADO CREW CAB PASSENGER DASH CRACKED RIGHT IN BETWEEN AIRBAG. REALLY CONCERNED IF AIRBAG IS ENGAGED/DEPLOYED THE DASH WILL INTERFERE OR CAUSE HARM OR BODILY INJURY DUE TO CRACKED DASH PIECES TO BECOME PROJECTILES INTO THE CAB. FILED COMPLAINT WITH CHEVY GMC THEY WONT FIX IT UNDER WARRANTY BUT WILL CHARGE A GOODWILL FEE. PRICES VARY FROM DEALERSHIP TO DEALERSHIP DEPENDING ON LOCATION. I AM VERY CONCERNED THAT THIS IS A MASS PHENOMENA AND A SAFETY HAZARD.
