THE DEALER DID NOT GIVE A SPECIFIC DATE FOR WHEN THE PART WOULD BECOME AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER COULD NOT PROVIDE AN ESTIMATED DATE FOR WHEN THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WOULD RECEIVE THE RECALL REPAIR. STEERING LOCKED WHILE LEAVING A PARKING SPOT MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO STEER RIGHT OR LEFT. STEERING WARNING LIGHT APPEARED ON DASHBOARD. I WAS A ABLE TO APPLY THE BRAKES TO STOP THE VEHICLE AND TOW CAR TO REPAIR SHOP. THEY FOUND ERROR CODE 1524 AND AFTER TROUBLESHOOTING THEY ADVISED THAT STEERING COLUMN HAD TO BE REPLACED. CAR HAS 58K MILES. RARE FOR THIS TO GO BAD SHORT OF A DEFECT IN MANUFACTURING IN MY OPINION.

WE RECEIVED A NOTICE ON MAY 23RD THAT OUR AIRBAG WAS RECALLED AND TO NOT SIT IN THE PASSENGER FRONT SEAT DUE TO RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. THE REASON WE BOUGHT A VAN IS WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO TRANSPORT MULTIPLE PEOPLE AT ONCE. THIS IS EXTREMELY INCONVENIENT AND NEGLIGENT ON THE PART OF TOYOTA. THERE HAS BEEN NO COMMUNICATION OR ACTION TO CORRECT THIS AFTER 3 MONTHS OF THE INITIAL NOTIFICATION.
