TAKATA RECALL I URGE THE NHTSA TO FORCE TOYOTA TO ACCELERATE THE REMEDY PROCESS WITH RESPECT TO THE TAKATA RECALL. I WAS FIRST NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE IN MAY OF 2016 AND AM STILL WAITING FOR A REMEDY SEVERAL MONTHS LATER. EVERY DAY TOYOTA DELAYS FIXING THIS ISSUE PUTS MY FAMILY AT RISK OF A SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. PERHAPS FORCING TOYOTA TO PROVIDE RENTAL CARS TO THOSE AFFECTED WOULD HELP TO EXPEDITE THEIR ROLE IN THIS RECALL. POTENTIALLY HAVING TO WAIT TILL 2019 FOR A FIX IS ENTIRELY UNACCEPTABLE.
