AS A RESULT OF THE RECALL ON THE POWER STEERING HOSE DETERIORATING, MY POWER STEERING PUMP WENT OUT. I PAID $700.00 GETTING IT FIXED IN JANUARY 2013. I WAS TOLD BY HONDA OF TIFFANY SPRINGS THAT MY POWER STEERING PUMP GOING OUT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE HOSE DETERIORATING. I TRUSTED THEM AND HAD IT FIXED AND PAID IN FULL. I TOOK MY CAR TO ANOTHER VERY TRUSTED MECHANIC AND WAS TOLD OTHERWISE. SINCE THEN, DEALING WITH HONDA OF TIFFANY SPRINGS HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE! ABOUT TWO WEEKS AGO MY STEERING STARTED MAKING A REALLY WEIRD NOISE. LOW AND BEHOLD, HONDA OF TIFFANY SPRINGS TOLD ME MY POWER STEERING PUMP WAS OUT AGAIN. ANOTHER $700.00 TO FIX IT...THEY SHOW NO RECORDS OF EVER REPLACING MY POWER STEERING PUMP, THEREFORE THERE IS NO WARRANTY. I HAVE CONTACTED AN ATTORNEY ABOUT HONDA OF TIFFANY SPRINGS. NOT ONLY HAVE THEY LIED ABOUT MY POWER STEERING AND STOLEN MONEY FROM ME ON PARTS THAT WERE CLEARLY UNDER RECALL OR WARRANTY, THEY HAVE STRIPPED MY OIL PAN PLUG FOR THE SECOND TIME AND MY CAR WAS LEAKING OIL ALL OVER MY GARAGE. I PAID MY TRUSTED MECHANIC TO FIX THAT PROBLEM NOT ONCE BUT TWICE, WHICH HONDA OF TIFFANY SPRINGS SHOULD PAY ME BACK FOR. I AM SICK OF HONDA OF TIFFANY SPRINGS!!! EVER SINCE[XXX] GOT SICK & PASSED AWAY, THAT PLACE HAS GONE DOWNHILL. I AM READY TO BUY A NEW CAR, BUT NOT FROM THERE!! I WILL NEVER TAKE MY CAR THERE AGAIN! I BEGAN NOTICING LEAKING POWER STEERING FLUID AND SUBSEQUENT POWER STEERING ISSUES IN NOVEMBER 2012. I WAS INFORMED IN A LETTER FROM HONDA THAT I WOULD RECEIVE NOTICE THAT PARTS WERE AVAILABLE FEBRUARY 2013 AND THAT MY PARTICULAR RECALL COULD NOT BE COMPLETED UNTIL THE PARTS WERE IN STOCK. I RECEIVED NOTICE ON MARCH 19, 2013 THAT PARTS WERE AVAILABLE AND HAD THE HOSE REPLACED ON APRIL 5, 2013. DURING THE REPAIR PROCESS, I WAS INFORMED THAT DUE TO THE DEFECTIVE PART, THE POWER STEERING PUMP WOULD NEED REPLACED AS IT HAS CRACKED AND LEAKED POWER STEERING FLUID. I LOST ALL POWER STEERING AND HAD THE PUMP REPLACED ON APRIL 5, 2013. THIS PART IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE RECALL BUT FOR THE DEFECTIVE HOSE, THE PROBLEM WOULD NOT HAVE OCCURRED. I AM SEEKING TO FILE A COMPLAINT AGAINST HONDA TO REIMBURSE MY COST OF PARTS AND INCLUDE THE POWER STEERING PUMP AS A PART OF THE RECALL.

I AM THE FIRST OWNER OF 2003 ACCORD, EX. MY CAR HAS 113,000 MILES ON IT. ITS A WELL MAINTAINED CAR I KEPT FOR YEARS. I MUST SAY THAT THIS CAR IS EXCELLENT, HOWEVER, THERE ARE SIGNS THAT SOME PARTS ARE NOT FUNCTIONING REALLY WELL LATELY. FOR THE PAST FEW MONTHS, I NOTICED MY TCS SIGN ON THE DASHBOARD COMES ON AND OFF TOGETHER WITH THE TRIANGLE SIGN IN ORANGE. IT STARTED COMING ON AFTER I TURNED OFF THE IGNITION TO MY FIRST DESTINATION AND AFTER JUST LIKE 10-15 MINUTES AND START MY ENGINE AGAIN, IT WILL COME ON AFTER DRIVING FOR NEXT 5-10 MINUTES. ALSO, JUST TWO WEEKS AGO I NOTICED THAT THE GEAR GETS STUCK ON "PARK" MODE AND I HAVE TO PRESS THE HANDLE BEFORE IT GETS RELEASED. I AM NOT SURE IF THE GEAR HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE TCS AND TRIANGLE SHOWING ON THE DASHBOARD. ALSO, I NOTICED MY CAR HAS AN ISSUE WITH BRAKES WHEN DRIVING WHILE RAINING. I HAVE TO STEP ON THE BRAKES A FEW TIMES WHEN ITS SLIPPERY TO BE ABLE TO COME TO A FULL STOP. IT'S SO SCARY THAT I ALMOST HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME A FEW TIMES. I AM LODGING MY COMPLAIN SO THE MANUFACTURER WOULD TAKE A LOOK ON THIS ISSUE AS I FOUND ALL THE COMPLAINTS ON TCS ISSUE ON 2003 HONDA ACCORD EX ONLINE WHEN I WAS TRYING TO LOOK FOR A SOLUTION ON THE SAME ISSUE FOR MY CAR.

LATER SAME DAY, MECHANIC FOUND POWER STEERING PUMP WAS ALSO LEAKING AND REPLACED IT (ANOTHER $400 PARTS & LABOR). STEERING STILL DIFFICULT AND STILL MAKING NOISE, SO BROUGHT CAR BACK TO MECHANIC A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER. MECHANIC REPLACED RACK & PINION (AN ADDITIONAL $800 PARTS & LABOR). IT APPEARS THE 4 CYLINDER ACCORDS (2003) ARE NOT A PART OF THE CURRENT HONDA RECALL FOR POWER STEERING HOSE LEAKS, BUT LOOKS LIKE THEY SHOULD BE. ALSO, NOTE THE ADDITIONAL PARTS FAILURES (AND FINANCIAL COSTS) AS A RESULT OF THE LEAKING HOSE.

AS PER NHTSA RECALL 12V-222 THIS VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO KINGS HONDA IN CINCINNATI, OH ON NOV 6 2012 AND REPAIRED ACCORDING TO THIS RECALL. ONE POWER STEERING HOSE WAS REPLACED AND FLUID WAS ADDED, HOWEVER SEVERAL DIFFERENT HOSES WERE LEAKING AND IT WAS NOTED BY THE MECHANIC THAT FLUID WAS LEAKING AT THE POWER STEERING RACK AND PUMP. BOTH HONDA AMERICA AND KINGS HONDA REFUSE TO REPLACE THESE PARTS UNDER THIS RECALL BECAUSE IT ONLY REQUIRES THEM TO REPLACE THE ONE C-HOSE. THIS SITUATION IS STILL A DANGER AND POWER STEERING FLUID IS STILL LEAKING IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT.

ALL MAINTENANCE DONE AT RECOMMENDED INTERVALS. SERVICE DEPARTMENT HAS BEEN GIVEN CARTE BLANCHE TO REPAIR/REPLACE ANY PART OVER THE LAST 8 YEARS. THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

SINCE THE PURCHASE I+VE EXPERIENCED CONTINUAL TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. UPON SPEAKING WITH THE DEALERSHIP I WAS ASSURED ALL WAS FINE. YOU CAN IMAGINE MY SURPRISE WHEN I RECEIVED NOTICE OF THE TRANSMISSION RECALL (NHTSA 04V176000). UPON REPAIR, IN SEPTEMBER 2004, I DID NOT NOTICE REPAIR IMPROVEMENT, AND CONTINUED TO DETECT THE ROUGH GRIND OF TRANSMISSION SHIFT AND A WHINING SOUND. IN 2009 I EXPERIENCED A CATASTROPHIC TRANSMISSION FAILURE TO WHICH I HAD SOUGHT REPAIR. IN DECEMBER 2010 I EXPERIENCED ANOTHER TRANSMISSION FAILURE. I HAVE JUST NOW EXPERIENCED MY 3RD TRANSMISSION FAILURE, JULY 2011. MY POWER STEERING PUMP HAD ALWAYS HAD A FAINT WHINE, BUT HONDA SERVICES NEVER IDENTIFIED IT AS CONCERNING. THE PROBLEM PROGRESSIVELY BECAME WORSE UNTIL HONDA FINALLY SUGGESTED A REPAIR, BUT INFORMED ME THAT THE COMPONENT WAS THEN OUT OF WARRANTY AND WOULD BE A COSTLY REPAIR. I DECIDED TO DELAY REPAIR UNTIL JUNE 2011. AC PROBLEMS MANIFESTED IN SEPTEMBER 2005 AND REQUIRED REPLACEMENT IN APRIL 2008. MY CENTER COUNCIL CLOCK AND TEMPERATURE DISPLAY HAS BEEN FLICKERING, DIMMED, AND ABSENT SINCE 2009. THE INTERLOCK STUCK ISSUE FIRST MATERIALIZED IN 2008 AND SERVICED IN JULY 2010. MY AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT HAS BEEN ACTIVE SINCE 2008 WITH AN OCCASIONAL BUT REPETITIVE TCS ALERT; AND MY HEADLAMP GLASS HAS BEEN HAZED SINCE 2005. THE PAINT DETERIORATION IS RIDICULOUSLY EMBARRASSING, THE LEATHER SEATING BEGAN SHOWING WEAR 2 YEARS IN, MY SEATBELT DOESN+T RETURN TO THE ORIGINAL RELEASED POSITION, HEAD LINER HAS WATER LEAK STAINS, CD PLAYER STOPPED WORKING, EXPOSED WIRING IS VISIBLE AT THE DRIVER DOOR HINGE, I+VE GONE THROUGH 3 BATTERIES, COUNTLESS TIRES, ONE CRACKED WINDSHIELD, AND I HAVE ALWAYS SUFFER FROM POOR RADIO RECEPTION AND OCCASIONAL NAVIGATIONAL SIGNAL ROAMING ISSUES. IN THESE TIMES OF THRIFT CONSCIOUS FUEL CONSUMPTION, I UTILIZE MY NAV TOOLS TO MONITOR MY DRIVING ACTIVITY. I+M STUNNED TO REPORT I GET A FUEL ECONOMY OF 24 MPG HIGHWAY, NOT THE 31 MPG AS STICKER REPORTS.

AFTER PARKING THE CAR IN THE DRIVEWAY, THE SMELL OF BURNING OIL WAS DETECTED. THIS EVENT OCCURRED ROUGHLY A WEEK AFTER AN OIL CHANGE AND WAS INITIALLY THOUGHT TO BE RESIDUAL SPILLAGE OF OIL. THE BURNING SMELL CONTINUED TO GET WORSE OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. THE SMELL WAS MOSTLY NOTICEABLE WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED, AND THE AIR HAD TO BE PLACED ON RECIRCULATE, WHICH MUTED THE SMELL. ABOUT 4 DAYS AFTER FIRST DETECTING THE SMELL WHILE GETTING OFF THE FREEWAY AND WAITING AT THE LIGHT, SMOKE WAS OBSERVED COMING FROM UNDER THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE HOOD NEAR THE WINDSHIELD. THE VEHICLE WAS IMMEDIATELY TAKEN TO THE HONDA DEALERSHIP. THE SERVICE ADVISOR IMMEDIATELY IDENTIFIED THE PROBLEM AS A LEAKING HIGH PRESSURE POWER STEERING HOSE FROM UNDER THE RUBBER BUSHING/SUPPORT OVER THE REAR ENGINE EXHAUST MANIFOLD. WHEN ASKED IF IT NEEDED TO BE FIXED RIGHT AWAY, THE ADVISOR STATED THAT THE POWER STEERING FLUID WAS DRIPPING DIRECTLY DOWN ONTO THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER AND COULD START A FIRE. HE STATED THAT HE HAS SEEN CARS COME IN FOR REPAIR THAT WERE SMOKING A LOT OR HAD BEEN ON FIRE FOR THIS SAME PROBLEM. COST TO REPLACE WAS $412. OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS EXACT SAME PROBLEM WERE ALSO IDENTIFIED ON THE NHTSA COMPLAINT WEBSITE - AND THAT'S ONLY FROM THE PEOPLE WHO REPORTED (OR KNEW TO REPORT) THE PROBLEM.

HELLO, I AM WRITING THIS LETTER TO FORMALLY LODGE A COMPLAINT REGARDING MY HONDA ACCORD. I BOUGHT A CERTIFIED HONDA ACCORD FROM A HONDA DEALER (MCGRATH CITY HONDA, 6720 W. GRAND AVENUE, CHICAGO, IL 60707) IN 2007. LAST WEEK, ON THURSDAY EVENING (AUGUST 26, 2010), MY WIFE WAS DRIVING THE CAR BACK FROM HER WORK ALONE AND WHILE TAKING A LEFT TURN SUDDENLY THE STEERING GOT STUCK. SHE COULDN'T MOVE THE CAR AT ALL AND BARELY ESCAPED AN ACCIDENT WITH THE ON-COMING TRAFFIC WHICH WAS COMING AT A VERY HIGH SPEED. SHE SOMEHOW MANAGED TO MOVE OUT OF THE WAY. WE TOWED THE CAR TO THE MECHANIC AND IT WAS FOUND OUT THAT THE POWER STEERING PRESSURE HOSE WAS BROKEN. THE POWER STEERING PRESSURE HOSE WAS REPLACED TO FIX THIS AND IT TOOK 3 DAYS FOR THE PART TO REACH THE MECHANIC AFTER THE ORDER WAS PLACED AS THIS IS SUCH A RARE INCIDENT. I HAD TO RENT A CAR FOR THE WHOLE WEEKEND. NOW THIS IS SOMETHING THAT IS NOT DUE TO NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR AND THIS COULD HAVE HAPPENED AT A HIGHER SPEED AND THE CONSEQUENCE COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE. I TAKE MY HONDA TO THE DEALERSHIP EVERY 5,000 MILES FOR MAINTENANCE. I WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT IN AUGUST 2008 - SOMEONE HIT MY DRIVER SIDE REAR. THE WHEEL WAS BENT AND MY STEERING WHEEL WAS TURNED 90 DEGREES. AFTER IT WAS REPAIRED, I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE 5,000 MILE CHECKUP. THEY BALANCED AND ROTATED THE TIRES. THAT IS WHEN I FOUND OUT THE WHEEL WAS BENT. WENT TO MY MECHANIC AND HE TOLD ME THE WHEEL WAS BENT AND THAT THE STEERING RACK WAS GOING OUT. I CONTACTED THE INSURANCE COMPANY AND THEY SAID THAT THE STEERING RACK PROBLEM WAS NOT CAUSED BY THE ACCIDENT. STEERING RACK. I BOUGH MY CAR IN OCTOBER 2003, AND HAVE ABOUT 6000 MILES NOW. BACK IN DECEMBER, FOR COUPLE OF DAYS IN THE MORNING, WHEN IT WAS REALLY COLD, ~18-20F, CAR'S STEERING GOT TIGHTER AND ONCE STEERING WHEEL WAS TURNED EVEN A LITTLE, WOULD NOT COME BACK AUTOMATICALLY BACK BUT I HAD TO PULL IT BACK. LATER IN THE DAY, WHEN IT GOT WARMER, IT GOT BETTER(ALTHOUGH NOT PERFECT) . AGAIN THIS HAPPENENED AT HIGHER SPPEDS AS WELL. COUPLE OF DAYS LATER I WAS DRIVING AT ABOUT 50 MILES AN HOUR, STEERING WHEEL GOT EXTREMELY HARD AND I WAS NOT EVEN ABLE TO CHANGE LANES WHICH REALLY SCARED ME. WHEN I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER, THEY AGREED THAT AT WAS A PROBLEM AND PUT IT UP ON A LIFT. WHEN THEY NOTICED COUPLE OF SCRATCHES ON THE PLASTIC NOSE SKIRT AND PLASTIC TRIMS BY THE DOOR, WHICH GOT THERE DUE TO MINOR PEBBLES ETC. STRIKING THE CAR WHEN IN MOTION. THEY TOLD ME THAT TE PROBLEM WAS DUE TO AN ACCIDENT, EVEN THOUGH THERE IS NO OTHER SIGN ON THE STEERING COMPONENTS OR ANY OTHER VISIBLE SIGNS. I ABSOLUTELY DISAGREED THAT IT WAS DUE TO AN ACCIDENT. ONLY REMEDY THEY TOLD ME WAS TO GET THE STEERING RACK CHANGED. WELL, THEY CHANGED THE STEERING RACK AND REPALCED IT WITH A "HONDA REMANUFACTURED STEERING RACK" WHICH THEY DID NOT COVER UNDER ANY WARRANTY, IN ADDITION THEY CHANGED BOTH THE TIE ROD ENDS AND SOME MORE SMALLER PARTS. THE TOTAL WAS ABOUT $1400. I ASKED THEM TO SAVE THE RACK AND WHEN LOOKED AT IT, OBVIOUSLY THERE WAS NO VISIBLE DAMAMGE ETC, BUT WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT THE DAMAGE IS INSIDE (THE RACK'S METAL PIPE LIKAGE SYSTEM?). I AM 1000% SURE THAT THE STEERING RACK HAS SOME MANUFACTURING PROBLEM, AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY. I HAVE SAVED THE PART AND BROUGH IT HOME WITH ME. I HOPE THAT THE NHTSA FOLKS WOULD PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS ISSUE. AFTER THE REPAIR AND A FOUR WHEEL ALIGNMENT, CAR STILL DRIFTS SLIGHTLY TO LEFT, BUT HAVE BEEN TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT IT IS NORMAL.

I HAVE A '03 ACCORD. AT 776 MI NOTICED CAR PULLING TO THE LEFT. PENSKE HONDA IN ONTARIO, CA SAID IT THE FRONT TIRE IS BAD. HAD THE TIRE REPLACED BY A TIRE DEALER. CAME BACK AT 2251 MI TO REPORT CAR PULLING TO THE RIGHT. PENSKE HONDA JUST ADJUSTED ALL TIRE PRESSURES. WENT BACK AT 2693 MI TO COMPLAIN REAR WHEELS VISIBLY MISALIGNED AND ALSO VIBRATION AT THE STEERING WHEEL WHEN IDLING. PENSKE HONDA PERFORMED 4 WHEEL ALIGNMENT. IDLE FOUND NORMAL. CAME BACK AT 3036 MI. REPORTING DIFFICULTY KEEPING THE CAR STRAIGHT, EITHER PULLING LEFT OR RIGHT. REPORTED AGAIN VIBRATION ON THE STEERING WHEEL WHEN IDLING. TECHNICIAN ADVISED THE CAR DROVE STRAIGHT WHILE IDLING ADJUSTED TO BASE IDLE. DEALERSHIP HAD THE CAR ALL DAY AND NOTICED THAT THE CAR WASN'T DRIVEN FAR ENOUGH AS SHOWN BY THE MILEAGE OUT AT 3038 MI. HAD TO REQUEST TECHNICIAN, RON CAMPBELL TO RIDE WITH ME TO SHOW THE PULLING ON EITHER SIDE. SEEN IT, FELT IT BUT THINKS ITS NORMAL BLAMING IT ON THE ROAD ALTHOUGH HE TOOK ME TO A GOOD STRETCH OF FLAT ROAD. NEVERTHELESS, HE ASKED TO LEAVE THE CAR FOR FURTHER TEST ON MONDAY BEING LATE SATURDAY, MILEAGE IN AT 3042. HAD THE CAR ALL DAY MONDAY, WAS ADVISED LATE AFTERNOON THAT THEY DID THE ALIGNMENT CHECK, DROVE THE CAR SOME MORE, CHECKED THE RIDE HEIGHT AND EVERYTHING IS TO SPEC. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS, THE ALIGNMENT PRINT-OUT WAS MADE @ 4:04 PM AND WAS CALLED BY THE SERVICE ADVISOR AT 5:40 PM. WHICH MAKES IT APPARENT THAT THEY SPENT LITTLE TIME TO TEST DRIVE AND LOOK FOR THE PROBLEM. NEXT VISIT IS TO TAKE THE SERVICE MANAGER FOR A RIDE TO EXPERIENCE THE PROBLEM. MILEAGE OUT AT 3047 MI AND DROVE IT HOME BUT THE PROBLEM IS STILL THERE. I PURCHASED THIS HONDA ACCORD 2003 IN APRIL 2003. FROM THE VERY BEGINNING I NOTICED A RAMBLING NOISE ON THE ENGINE, FOUL SMELL, VIBRATION ON THE STEERING WHEEL AND SQUEAKING BRAKES. ALSO WHEN I BRAKE THE CAR SEEMS TO ACCELERATE LIKE THE IDLE IS TOO FAST. I REPORTED IT IMMEDIATELY TO MY HONDA DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME TO TAKE IT TO ANY HONDA DEALER. I TOOK IT TO HONDA IN GLEANDALE AND AFTER INSPECTING IT THEY TOLD ME THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR. HOWEVER THE PROBLEMS CONTINUED TO I KEPT TAKING THE CAR TO DIFFERENT HONDA DEALERS BUT NONE COULD COME UP WITH A SOLUTION. WHEN I ASKED THEM TO REPLACE THE VEHICLE THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY ALL HAD THE SAME PROBLEMS AND THAT I HAD TO LEARN TO LIVE WITH IT.! I FEEL TOTALLY FRUSTRATED BY THIS SITUATION AND VERY UNSAFE DRIVING THIS PIECE OF CRAP.

I HAVE HAD MY 2003 HONDA ACCORD EX AUTOMATIC 4 CYLINDER VIN# JHMCM56673C021598 AT NALLEY HONDA IN BRUNSWICK, GA TO BE ALIGNED THREE TIMES. 9-23-03 HAD RECALL WORK AND PULLING TO THE RIGHT ALIGNMENT DONE. PICKED CAR UP ON 9-26-03 AND DROVE HOME (ST. MARYS, GA) APPROXIMATELY 45 MILES AND CAR WAS STILL PULLING TO THE RIGHT AND THE STEERING WHEEL IS OFF CENTERED TO THE RIGHT. CALLED NALLEY HONDA AND SPOKE WITH THE SERVICE DIRECTOR MR. FRANK HALL. HE SAID BRING IT BACK. 9-29-03 SECOND ALIGNMENT AND STEERING WHEEL ADJUSTED STRAIGHT. THIS TIME MR. HALL GAVE ME A COPY OF THE ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS, BUT THE SPECIFICATIONS/TOLERANCES WERE LISTED FOR A HONDA ACCORD FROM 1998-2002. PICKED CAR UP ON 10-2-03 AND DROVE HOME. CAR STILL PULLS TO THE RIGHT. CALLED NALLEY HONDA AND SPOKE WITH THE SERVICE DIRECTOR MR. FRANK HALL AND HE SAID TO BRING IT BACK AGAIN. 10-6-03 WENT ON A TEST DRIVE BEFORE LEAVING IT WITH MR. HALL AND HE AGREED THE CAR PULLED TO THE RIGHT. THIRD ALIGNMENT PERFORMED. PICKED UP CAR ON 10-10-03 AND MR. HALL STATED HE AND THE OWNER OF THE ALIGNMENT SHOP DROVE THE CAR AND IT WAS SATISFACTORY. AGAIN I TAKE MY CAR AND IT STILL PULLS TO THE RIGHT AS I AM DRIVING HOME. NOW THE STEERING WHEEL HAS A SHIMMY VIBRATION AND THE STEERING IS TIGHT AND JERKY. CALLED MR. HALL AT NALLEY HONDA AND HE SAID THEY CANNOT DO ANYTHING ELSE AND REFERRED ME TO AMERICAN HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICE AT 1-800-999-1009. I CALLED AMERICAN HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICE ON 10-15-03 AND SPOKE WITH MR. TONY YUN AND GAVE HIM THE ABOVE INFORMATION AND HE SAID HE WOULD GET BACK TO ME IN 24 TO 48 HOURS. HE SAID HE NEEDED TO TALK TO NALLEY HONDA. ON 10-16-03 MR. YUN CALLED BACK AND SAID HE HAD SPOKE WITH MR. HALL. HE SAID MR. HALL AT NALLEY HONDA STATED THE CAR WAS SATISFACTORY AND SAID IT DROVE BETTER THAN HIS OWN HONDA. MR. YUN SUGGESTED I CARRY MY CAR TO ANOTHER HONDA DEALERSHIP TO SEE IF THEY COULD ALIGN THE CAR TO SUIT ME.

I WAS TRAVELING ON THE INTERSTATE AND MY GAS PEDAL LOCKED, THEN MY STEERING SYSTEM, FOLLOWED BY THE GAS PEDAL. I WAS SURROUNDED BY HUGE TRUCKS AND WAS TRAVELING WITH SMALL CHILDREN AND WAS ABLE TO STOP THE CAR. I THEN REPEATEDLY SMASHED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND FORCED THE STEERING TO STIR ME TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD THE CAR WENT INTO THE DITCH AND CAME TO A FAIRLY ABRUPT STOP. WHEN I ARRIVED TO THE DEALERSHIP, THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE ALTERNATOR, BUT SUGGESTED THAT I SHOULD REPLACED THE WATER PUMP. I ASKED FOR AN ENGINEER TO LOOK AT THE CAR AND BE GIVEN A STATEMENT OF SAFETY BEFORE I RISKED MY LIFE DRIVING THE CAR. THEY AGREED WHEN MY BROTHER-IN-LAW ASKED BUT I WAS DENIED AFTER HE GOT OFF THE PHONE AND SPOKE WITH ME ALTHOUGH MY CAR IS 90 DAYS OLD AND UNDER A FULL BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY.
