THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V075000 (POWER TRAIN) BY MAINER FORD (1724 234TH ST NW, OKARCHE, OK 73762, (405) 241-9011), BUT THE REMEDY FAILED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WARNING INDICATOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. THE VIN WAS INVALID.

THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V075000 (POWER TRAIN). THE CONTACT CALLED DICK SMITH FORD AT 816-353-1495 (LOCATED AT 9505 E STATE RTE 350, RAYTOWN, MO 64133) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.

SERVICE BRAKES

4/8/2019 - SHELBY TOWNSHIP, MI
I HAVE A 2012 F-150 WITH THE 3.5L ECOBOOST ENGINE, 100,000 MILES. I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH NO POWER BRAKES WHEN TRUCK IS INITIALLY STARTED AND THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THIS AS A FAILED VACUUM PUMP THIS TYPICALLY HAPPENS AT SLOW SPEEDS THE FIRST SEVERAL TIMES YOU STOP. A RECALL WAS FORCED IN CANADA AND A CUSTOMER SATISFACTION WARRANTY EXTENSION IS IN PLACE IN THE USA (15N05). BOTH COVER THE 2011 TO 2012 F-150 WITH ECOBOOST ENGINE. FOR SOME REASON MY VIN IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL & CUSTOMER SATISFACTION POLICY. BRAKES INTERMITTENTLY HAVE NO POWER ASSIST AND ITS VERY DIFFICULT TO STOP TRUCK, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARENT EXPECTING THE BRAKES TO FAIL LIKE THAT. THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AND I HAVE CONTACTED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE - BUT ALL THEY WILL TELL ME IS MY VIN ISNT COVERED. THEY NEED TO EXPAND THIS TO COVER MORE VEHICLES - ITS A HUGE SAFETY RELATED ISSUE. I CANT BELIEVE NO RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED.

PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY. WAITED 2 MINUTES AND RESTARTED THE ENGINE. WAS ABLE TO GET HOME. TOOK TO CERTIFIED FORD DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR. ISSUE OCCURRED TWICE MORE WHILE DRIVING TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR. NEEDED TO REPLACE THE THROTTLE BODY.

THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD F-150. WHEN DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL WITH THE VEHICLE IN REVERSE, A LOUD ABNORMAL NOISE WAS HEARD. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. FRANCOIS FORD (222 COUNTY HIGHWAY PB, BELLEVILLE, WI 53508, (608) 424-0303) DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKE VACUUM PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 105,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER AND WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.

ON HWY 65MPH ACCELERATING SPEEDOMETER READING WENT TO ZERO, TRANSMISSION AUTO DOWNSHIFT. HAD TO PULL OVER RESTART AND THEN BOTH THE SPEEDOMETER AND TRANSMISSION WORKED. AFTER THIS SEVERAL STARTS THE SPEEDOMETER DOESN'T WORK AND TRANSMISSION WON'T SHIFT OUT OF 1ST GEAR
