TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR FLASHED. DENNY MENHOLT FORD (50 FORD LN, BUTTE, MT 59701, (406) 494-6333) DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THERE WERE NO ENGINE RECALLS TO PROVIDE A RECALL REMEDY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 54,000.

THIS PROBLEM IS RELATED TO FORD 5.4 LITER TRITON V8 24 VALVE ENGINES AND FREQUENT FAILURES OF THE EXHAUST MANIFOLDS. A SEARCH OF ONLINE LITERATURE FROM AUTOMOTIVE EXPERTS AND MECHANICS REPORT AN UNUSUAL NUMBER OF THESE MANIFOLDS WARPING, CRACKING, AND BREAKING THE MOUNTING STUDS. REPAIRS ARE VERY EXPENSIVE, IN THE RANGE OF $1000 - $2000 PER MANIFOLD. LAST FALL 2018, MY 2006 F-150 5.4 TRITON, WITH ONLY 83,000 MILES, BEGAN LEAKING EXHAUST FROM THE RIGHT SIDE MANIFOLD. I TOOK IT TO A FORD DEALER FOR REPAIRS. (SOME INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOPS STATED THEY WILL NOT WORK ON THESE FORD MODEL MANIFOLDS ANYMORE.) THE TOTAL COST TO REPLACE THE MANIFOLD WAS OVER $1800. THE PARTS AND MATERIALS WERE ONLY ABOUT $300. THERE WAS A LOT OF LABOR INVOLVED BECAUSE 6 OF 8 MOUNTING STUDS HAD TO REMOVED AND REPLACED. THE DEALER ALSO RECOMMENDED REPLACING THE LEFT SIDE MANIFOLD BECAUSE THE MOUNTING STUDS ON THAT SIDE WERE SHOWING SIGNS OF IMPENDING FAILURE. IN FACT, SOME OF THE STUDS MAY BE BROKEN ALREADY, BUT THE LEFT MANIFOLD IS NOT YET LEAKING, SO I DID NOT REPLACE THE LEFT MANIFOLD AT THAT TIME. I AM A RETIRED MINE ENGINEER/MANAGER. I WAS HEAVILY INVOLVED IN THE MAINTENANCE OF TRUCKS AND EQUIPMENT. I BELIEVE THERE IS A DESIGN PROBLEM IN THESE MANIFOLDS AND/OR THE HEADS THEY MOUNT ON. (THESE ARE THE HEADS THAT PROMPTED THE 5.4 TRITON SPARK PLUG SETTLEMENT.)

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2006 FORD F-150. AFTER THE CONTACT PARKED THE VEHICLE IN THE DRIVEWAY, FLAMES WERE SEEN COMING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT APPROXIMATELY FIVE HOURS LATER. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED TO THE HOME AND EXTINGUISHED THE FLAMES. A FIRE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED ALONG WITH TWO OTHER VEHICLES THAT WERE PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY. THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.

THEY SAID IT+S WELL KNOWN THAT ALL THE SPARK PLUGS WILL SNAP OFF IN THE BLOCK. I CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY WANT $1000 TO CHANGE THEM. WHILE IN ALL OTHER CARS AND TRUCKS IT+S $50-$100 JOB. RESEARCHING THIS ONLINE IT SEEMS THIS HAPPENS TO EVERY FORD THAT HAD THE 5.4L TRITON ENGINE. WHY IS THERE NO RECALL? I CAN+T AFFORD $1000 TO CHANGE MY SPARK PLUGS. I+M A SMALL BUSINESS OWNER AND THIS IS BEYOND MY MEANS CURRENTLY. I EMAILED FORD AND THEY DIDN+T SEEM TO ACKNOWLEDGE IT BEING A KNOWN ISSUE. YET EVERY MECHANIC SHOP WILL AND THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF CASES OF THIS ISSUE ALL OVER THE INTERNET.

IT HAS GOTTEN SO BAD THAT THE TRUCK ENGINE LOOSES POWER AND WHEN IT DOES HAVE SOME POWER IT FEELS LIKE THE WHOLE FRONT SHAKES AS IF THE TIRE IS COMING OFF. MY TRUCK CAUGHT ON FIRE YESTERDAY. DUE TO A HEAT SHIELD MISSING OVER PASSENGER SIDE CATALYTIC CONVERTER CAUSED THE PLASTIC GROMMETS THAT HOLD THE SOUND BARRIER MATERIAL ON THE FLOORBOARD TO DROP AND HANG ON TOP OF THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER UNTIL THE MATERIAL CAUGHT ON FIRE. MY INSURANCE COMPANY IS STILL INVESTIGATING HOW THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER HEAT SHIELD WAS MISSING. LESS THAN A MONTH AFTER I BOUGHT THE TRUCK AND IT WAS USED, THEY HAD TO DO SERVICE WORK ON IT BECAUSE I PURCHASED THE TRUCK WITH A BROKEN FRONT COIL SPRING AND THE TRANSMISSION DIPSTICK TUBE HAD ROTTED. EVEN THOUGH THE TRUCK WAS MISSING A HEAT SHIELD, I BELIEVE THERE SHOULD BE ANY KIND OF FLAMMABLE MATERIAL NEAR THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER JUST IN CASE A HEAT SHIELD HAPPENS TO ROT AND FALL OFF OR FOR ANY REASON THE HEAT SHIELD IS MISSING .THE FIRE TRAVELED THROUGH THE MATERIAL ALMOST TO THE TOP OF MY ENGINE. AFTER I GOT THE FLAMES OUT IT WAS STILL SMOLDERING AND SMOLDERED UP INTO A SPACE I COULD NOT REACH TO NOR SEE. I ALSO BELIEVE A FIRE RETARDANT SYSTEM SHOULD BE CREATED TO DOUSE FLAMES IN A SECTION OF AN ENGINE COMPARTMENT THAT CANNOT BE REACHED AND WOULD PROBABLY SAVE COUNTLESS LIVES PROPERTY AND INVESTED MONEY INTO VEHICLE AND OTHER THINGS THAT A VEHICLE ON FIRE COULD DESTROY.

THE CONTACT NOTICED CARBON BUILD UP ON THE SPARK PLUG HEAD, WHICH CAUSED IT TO CEMENT ONTO THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FORD OF HONOLULU (1370 N KING ST, HONOLULU, HAWAII, 96817, PHONE NUMBER: (808) 824-3981) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT A "CRAPPY" DESIGN WAS ON THE SPARK PLUG THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER REPLACED ALL FOUR SPARK PLUGS, BUT FRACTURED ONE OF THEM. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT HE WOULD HAVE TO PAY TO REPLACE THE FRACTURED SPARK PLUG. THE SPARK PLUG WAS NOT REPLACED DUE TO THE REPLACEMENT FEE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 135,000.

FORD F150 XLT 2006 SHOULD HAVE A MANDATORY SAFETY RECALL FOR THE FUEL CONTROL MODULE. THIS IS CLEARLY A DESIGN DEFECT AND A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN. I WAS DRIVING DOWN VT116 (A HILLY, WINDING 2 LANE COUNTRY HIGHWAY WITH NO SHOULDER) IN THE RAIN AT ABOUT 40MPH WHEN MY TRUCK STARTED TO BUCK AND LOSE POWER. THERE WAS NO PLACE TO PULL OVER, SO I PUT MY HAZARDS ON AND TRIED TO LIMP IT TO A SAFE PLACE TO PULL OVER. THE ENGINE STALLED AND I LOST STEERING AND BRAKING POWER ON A CURVE. I APPLIED THE BRAKES MANUALLY AND WRESTLED THE STEERING WHEEL (WHICH NO LONGER HAD ANY POWER ASSIST). WITH MAJOR DIFFICULTY, I WAS ABLE TO BRING THE TRUCK TO A CONTROLLED STOP. I WAS THEN ABLE TO RESTART THE ENGINE, LIMPED ALONG AT 15MPH, BUCKING AND STALLING 3 MORE TIMES BEFORE GETTING TO A SAFE PLACE TO PULL OVER. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I HAVE HAD MY FCM REPLACED (PRIOR WAS 1/5/2013) AND THE SECOND TIME I ALMOST CRASHED MY TRUCK BECAUSE OF THIS DEFECT. THE PREVIOUS TIME WAS JANUARY 2013 ON A MOUNTAIN ROAD IN WINTER ON SNOW. IF I WAS TOWING MY BOAT ON THE INTERSTATE AND LOST ALL POWER, I WOULD PROBABLY HAVE BEEN KILLED ALONG WITH ANYONE AROUND ME. WHY IS IT A DESIGN DEFECT? BECAUSE THIS ELECTRONIC COMPONENT IS INSTALLED IN A WEATHER-EXPOSED AREA ABOVE THE SPARE TIRE AND IS NOT CORROSION-PROOF. IN ANY RUST BELT STATE (OR A PLACE EXPOSED TO SALT), THE CASE WILL CORRODE, EXPOSING THE CIRCUIT BOARD TO WATER, CAUSING THE UNIT TO FAIL. WHY IS IT A SAFETY CONCERN? BECAUSE WHEN THE FCM FAILS, THE ENGINE WILL STALL, CAUSING A LOSS OF POWER TO THE STEERING AND BRAKING SYSTEMS. NHTSA SHOULD FORCE FORD TO DO A MANDATORY RECALL AND REDESIGN THIS POORLY DESIGNED PART. EVEN THE REPLACEMENT PARTS FAIL AFTER A FEW YEARS. CONSIDERING HOW MANY F150'S ARE ON THE ROAD AND HOW MANY OF THEM CARRY OR TOW HEAVY LOADS, I'D SAY THIS SHOULD BE A TOP PRIORITY FOR BOTH FORD AND NHTSA. RECALL!

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THEY WOULD NOT ASSIST BECAUSE THE CLAIMS DEADLINE HAD BEEN MISSED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 128,000.

WAS DRIVING MY 2006 F-150 OVER A MOUNTAIN PASS IN CANADA. THERE WAS COMPACT SNOW AND ICE ON THE ROADWAY AND I WAS TRAVELING WITH OTHER VEHICLES AROUND ME AT APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH. THE VEHICLES AHEAD OF ME BEGAN TO BRAKE, I AS WELL TRIED TO BRAKE ONLY TO FIND MY TRUCK HAD LOST POWER AND WAS NO LONGER RUNNING. I HAD LOST POWER TO MY BRAKES AND STEERING. THIS CAUSED MY TRUCK TO BEGIN SLIDING ON THE SNOW AND ICE AND I WAS UNABLE TO CONTROL MY VEHICLE. THE CARS AROUND ME WERE SLOWING AND STOPPING AND I COULD NOT. I BEGAN TO FISH TAIL IN BOTH DIRECTIONS WHILE TRYING DESPERATELY TO CONTROL MY TRUCK WITH NO BRAKES OR POWER STEERING, I EVENTUALLY DID A COMPLETE 360 DEGREE SPIN AND SOMEHOW MANAGED TO GET THE TRUCK UNDER CONTROL WITH OUT ROLLING OVER AND INTO THE DITCH OR SMASHING INTO THE OTHER VEHICLES AROUND ME. WHEN I CAME TO A STOP MY TRUCK WAS NOT RUNNING AND THE DASH LIGHTS WERE ON. I PLACED THE TRANSMISSION INTO DRIVE AND RESTARTED THE TRUCK WITHOUT ISSUE AND CONTINUED ON WITHOUT ISSUE. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED WITH THIS TRUCK, THE FIRST TIME I WAS ON A RESIDENTIAL STREET AND I WAS ABLE TO JUST COAST TO A STOP AND RESTARTED THE TRUCK. THIS LAST INCIDENT ON THE MOUNTAIN PASS HAS CONFIRMED TO ME THAT I WILL NOT OWN ANOTHER FORD AS I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS PROBLEM TO FIND THAT THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH FORD TRUCKS. I AM CERTAIN THIS HAS CAUSED MAJOR ACCIDENTS IF NOT DEATHS AND THE FACT THERE ARE NO ERROR CODES LEFT BEHIND FROM THE EVENTS TO VERIFY THIS HAS HAPPENED WE MAY NEVER KNOW. THE FACT IT HAS HAPPENED TO ME TWICE AND ONCE ONLY A MIRACLE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT DIDN'T OCCUR I AM DONE WITH THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY.

I WAS DRIVING ON THE ROAD WHEN THE "ENGINE FAILSAFE WARNING' LIGHT CAME ON. THE ENTIRE ENGINE SHUT DOWN. NO POWER AT ALL. VERY HARD TO STOP AND STEER. I NEARLY GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT. ANOTHER TIME I WAS ENTERING PARKING LOT WHEN IT HAPPENED. I HAD THE THROTTLE BODY REPLACED TO FIX THE PROBLEM. BUT SHUTTING OFF THE ENGINE ON A WARNING WHILE DRIVING IS VERY DANGEROUS. MILES ARE OVER CLASS ACTION SUIT BUT NOT BY MANY. MY TRUCK IS WORTHLESS FOR FORDS LACK OF FIXING THIS ISSUE. I DO HAVE DOCUMENTS TO SHOW. THIS PROBLEM IS A REPEATED ISSUE AND END RESULT FOR THEM NOT TO RECALL ISSUE SOONER HAS ENDED WITH A NONE WORKING TRUCK ENGINE.

DISCUSSION WITH DEALER DISCLOSES THAT THIS A WELL KNOW PROBLEM BY FORD MANAGEMENT, A TBS HAS BEEN ISSUED. FURTHER FORD HAS DENIED ANY RESPONSIBILITY AND WILL NOT PROVIDE ANY MONETARY ASSISTANCE. THIS IS A FORD CREATED DESIGN ENGINEERING DEFECT THAT FORD JUST IGNORES AND LET'S THE CUSTOMER PAY FOR ITS MISTAKE. I PRESENTED THE PART TO MY LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP WHERE WE BOUGHT THE TRUCK (HALL'S FORD MOTOR COMPANY) BRAND NEW IN 2006 AND PAID CASH TO THE SUM OF $30,000.00. I ASKED THEM IF THEY KNOW OF THIS PROBLEM WITH TRITON V8'S. THEY STATED THEY DID BUT NO KNOW RECALLS AND THEY TOO HAD SEVERAL REPAIRS COME IN FOR THE SAME THING IN THE PASS WEEK. I GOT THE UPGRADED PART FROM A FORD DEALER FOR $163 AND INSTALLED. RUNS FINE NOW. MY BIGGEST COMPLAINT IS FORD KNOWS THERE'S A PROBLEM SINCE THE HAVE CAME OUT WITH AN UPGRADED CONTROL MODULE SO WHY ISN'T THIS A RECALL? WHILE APPROACHING A STOP THE TRUCK GAUGES STARTED GOING CRAZY. TRUCK STALLED BUT RESTARTED WITH GAUGES STILL ACTING CRAZY. ALL GAUGES WOULD BOTTOM OUT AND COME BACK UP AND RADIO WAS TURNING ON AND OFF. REPLACED BATTERY BUT ONLY STALLING ISSUE WAS RESOLVED. TOOK TO LOCAL FORD DEALER BUT SINCE THE TRUCK ONLY DOES THIS RANDOMLY, THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. TRUCK RUNS PERFECTLY BUT GAUGES AND RADIO STILL GO ON AND OFF MAKING IT EXTREMELY ANNOYING TO DRIVE. VERY FRUSTRATING TO KNOW THAT SO MANY OTHER FORD OWNERS HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM BUT NO SOLUTION HAS BEEN OFFERED FROM FORD.

WHEN I STARTED THE TRUCK, A SPARK PLUG BLEW INTO THE HEAD. THE MECHANIC AT THE FORD DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THIS WAS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE TRUCKS. THE REPAIR COST ME $3,448. TO REPLACE THE HEAD. IF FORD IS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM, THE VEHICLES SHOULD BE RECALLED AND THE PROBLEM CORRECTED. MY FAMILY WAS LEFT STRANDED 7 HOURS AWAY FROM HOME, HAD TO RENT A VEHICLE TO GET HOME AND THEN TWO WEEKS LATER, HAD TO RETURN TO DEALERSHIP AND PICK UP THE TRUCK. SO STRESSFUL AND EXPENSIVE. JUST GLAD WE WERE IN A TOWN WHEN THIS HAPPENED!

SPARK PLUGS AND COIL PACKS HAVE FAILED ACROSS OUR ENTIRE FLEET OF 2005-2008 F-150'S. THE POTENTIAL FOR SEIZED SPARK PLUGS IS SIGNIFICANT DUE TO INCREASED HEAT FROM FAILED COIL PACKS. THE COIL PACKS SEEM TO FAIL APPROXIMATELY EVERY 25,000-75,000 MILES. THE REPAIRS HAVE BEEN VERY COSTLY - ESPECIALLY WITH A FLEET OF 200+ VEHICLES. FORD HAS NOT OFFERED ANY ASSISTANCE WITH ANY OF THE CLAIMS. SYMPTOMS - THE VEHICLE SPUTTERS OR BOGS DOWN UNDER LOAD WHILE TRAVELING UP A HILL OR UNDER HARD ACCELERATION. DANGERS - THE VEHICLE WILL NOT ACCELERATE WITH 100% POWER WHILE UNDER LOAD IN A DANGEROUS SITUATION. THE NEED TO QUICKLY ACCELERATE BECOMES ALTERED DUE TO POSSIBLE SPARK PLUG/ COIL PACK FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN AT 35 MPH AND SIMPLY STOPPED RUNNING. VEHICLE COULD NOT BE RE-STARTED. TOWED TO REPAIR SHOP. THE MECHANIC TESTED THE FUEL SYSTEM AND DETERMINED THE FUEL PUMP HAD BURNED OUT. THE FUEL PUMP WAS REPLACED AT A COST OF $552.05. ONE DAY AFTER REPAIRS WERE COMPLETED THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT WAS ACTIVATED AND THE CODE REVEALED A FUEL SYSTEM ISSUE. THE VEHICLE WAS IMMEDIATELY TAKEN BACK TO THE SAME REPAIR SHOP. THE FUEL PRESSURE WAS OPERATING AT 90 PSI. AFTER SEVERAL UNSUCCESSFUL VISITS, IT WAS EVENTUALLY DETERMINED THAT THE FUEL PUMP CONTROL MODULE WAS SEVERELY CORRODED AND MALFUNCTIONING. THE "POT" METAL HAS BEEN COMPLETELY CORRODED AND THERE IS AN APPROXIMATE 1 INCH DIAMETER HOLE LEADING DIRECTLY TO THE ELECTRIC PANEL. THE CONTROL MODULE WAS REPLACED FOR AN ADDITIONAL $399.89. THE DESIGN OF THIS MODULE USING "POT" METAL AND SIMPLY BOLTING TO THE STEEL AXLE IS RIDICULOUS. THIS ITEM SHOULD BE AN IMMEDIATE RECALL WITHIN THE "SALT BELT" AREAS OF NORTH AMERICA. I HAVE DOCUMENTED RECEIPTS FROM THE REPAIR SHOP AND HAVE KEPT THE ORIGINAL FUEL MODULE AS WELL. FORD MOTOR COMPANY SHOULD RECOGNIZE THIS ISSUE AS AN OBVIOUS RE-CALL ITEM AND BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ASSOCIATED REPAIR BILLS.

2006 FORD F-150 HARLEY DAVIDSON HAS COIL MISFIRE PROBLEM. ALL EIGHT COILS HAVE BEEN REPLACED IN THE LAST 24 MONTHS AND THREE HAVE BEEN REPLACED TWICE. CAT CONVERTER HAS BEEN REPLACED TWICE IN THE SAME TIME PERIOD. ALL PLUGS HAVE BEEN REPLACED. THE CAR CONTINUES TO MISFIRE. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE HAS AN EXTREMELY STRONG ODOR OF FUEL RESONATING. I AM FRANTIC AT THIS POINT BECAUSE I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT IS GOING ON! I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC AND HAD TO CUT THE CAR OFF AND CRANK IT UP AGAIN. LUCKILY I DIDN'T GET REAR ENDED OR IN AN ACCIDENT. THAT SAME DAY I WENT AND GOT MY OIL CHANGE BECAUSE IT WAS OVER DUE. WELL ON 1/4/13 THE SAME THING HAPPENS AS I AM TURNING INTO THE PARKING LOT OF MCDONALD'S. I GET THE SAME ERROR MESSAGE AS BEFORE, THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKS UP, AND TRUCK CUTS OFF! THIS SO EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. I LOOKED THIS ISSUE UP ONLINE AND SEE THAT IT APPEARS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE WITH THE 2006 F-150 AND THE EXPEDITION. ACCORDING TO THE MODEL YEAR FORD F150 MAINTENANCE MANUAL, SPARK PLUGS ARE TO BE CHANGED EVERY 100,000MI. JUST PRIOR TO THIS MILEAGE FOR REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF THE SPARK PLUGS THE ENGINE STARTED TO DEVELOP A MISFIRE. FORD HAS RECOGNIZED THE PROBLEM WITH THE SPARK PLUGS AND THE DIFFICULTY TO REMOVE THEM. THIS KNOWN MAINTENANCE ISSUE LED FORD TO PROVIDE A TSB ON THE ISSUE. THIS MISFIRE HAS ALMOST CAUSED ME TO STALL SEVERAL TIMES WHILE TOWING A 7,000LB BOAT. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND CREATES A SAFETY ISSUE FOR MYSELF AND THE MOTORISTS AROUND ME. I EXPRESS CONCERN THAT FORD SHOULD BE REPLACING THESE DEFECTIVE PLUGS WITH UPDATED DESIGNS BEFORE TRAGEDIES START TO HAPPEN. THIS ENGINE/SPARK PLUG DESIGN ENTERED SERVICE IN 2004 AND VEHICLES, LIKE MINE, WILL BEGIN TO EXPERIENCE SERIOUS SAFETY RELATED INCIDENTS IF IT IS NOT ADDRESSED.

I HAD A FUEL INJECTOR FAIL THAT COMPLETELY RUINED THE ENGINE AT 71K MILES. I HAD TO HAVE IT REPLACED. I WAS VERY SURPRISED TO SEE THAT MY PROBLEM WAS EXACTLY LIKE THE FORD 2005 CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM 07M08 PROBLEM. MY TRUCK WAS BUILT IN 2005, BUT TITLED AS A 2006. I HAVE TALKED AND WROTE TO FORD BUT THEY WOULD NOT HELP ME. I TOLD THEM I STILL HAVE THE FAILED INJECTOR AND THEY WOULDN'T EVEN LOOK AT IT TO SEE IF IT WAS ONE OF THE DEFECTIVE PARTS THAT SPURRED THE 07M08 PROGRAM. I BELIEVE FORD NEEDS TO EXPAND THE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM 07M08 TO INCLUDE 2006 MODELS. I WOULD LOVE FOR THE NHTSA TO PRESSURE FORD TO REVISIT THIS ISSUE. THIS WAS HARD FOR ME BECAUSE I STILL HAVE THE INJECTOR THAT FAILED. I KEEP IT AS A REMINDER OF THE $8,000 I HAD TO SPEND ON A NEW ENGINE. I BELIEVE THE NHTSA SHOULD PRESSURE FORD TO ADMIT WHICH INJECTORS WERE AN ISSUE SO PEOPLE LIKE ME HAVE LEVERAGE TO FIGHT GIANTS LIKE FORD THAT IN THIS CASE SCREWED THEIR CUSTOMER.
